CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "DJ Mixer Pro" app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Our Core Principle
DJ Mixer Pro is a DJ app that plays the songs on your Android phone on two decks so you can mix them, and records the mix you make. Your songs are decoded and played entirely on your device, and playback needs no internet connection. Your music, your mixes, and your listening history are yours: we never view, collect, upload, or transmit them to our servers. There is no account and no sign-up. Specifically, we do not have access to any of the following:
- Your songs, their titles or artists, or the folders and files you open in the app
- The BPM, key, cue points, and loops the app works out for your songs
- Your playlists, your history of loaded songs, or your auto-mix queue
- The mixes you record, or the sounds you load into the sampler
Your songs and recordings leave your device only through actions you take yourself, such as sharing a recording or saving it to another place on your device (Section 2).
2. Your Music and Your Recordings
- Music on your device: To list the songs on your device, the app reads the audio files you allow it to access (the "Music and audio" permission). You can also add audio files from your device or cloud storage with the system file picker; the app then keeps access only to the files you chose. The app reads these files only to play them and to analyse them; it never changes or deletes them.
- Analysis and cache: To play songs smoothly, the app decodes each song into a temporary cache in its own storage (you can set a size limit or clear the cache in the menu). The waveform, BPM, first beat, key, loudness, cue points, and hot cues for each song are stored in the app's own storage, so the next load is instant.
- Recordings: When you press REC, the app records the master output of your mix — the sound the app itself plays — as a WAV or M4A file in its own storage. The app does not use the microphone. The app also keeps a list of the songs played during each recording (a tracklist) next to it.
- Sampler sounds: The built-in sampler sounds are generated inside the app. Sounds you load yourself, or loops you capture from a deck, are stored in the app's own storage.
- When anything leaves your device: Only when you share a recording, a tracklist, or a set list with another app, or save a recording to a place you choose on your device. We never receive any of it.
- Copyright: The app cannot load songs protected by DRM or songs from streaming services. When you share or publish a recorded mix, you are responsible for respecting the rights of the music you used.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous crash reports: Via Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, we collect the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version. This does not include personally identifiable information, your songs, or your recordings.
- Purchase information: We use purchase tokens issued by Google Play to verify your one-time "Premium" purchase. We never receive any payment information such as credit card numbers.
- List of our other apps: To show our other apps, the app downloads their names, descriptions, and icons from our content server (static files hosted on Cloudflare Pages). The request contains no personal data from the app. As with any request to a web server, the server receives your device's IP address as part of the connection. Tapping an app in the list opens its page on Google Play.
The app does not use any analytics SDK and does not use your device's advertising ID.
3.2 Information Stored Only on Your Device
- Song analysis and cue points: The BPM, beat grid, key, cue points, and hot cues of each song, used only to play and mix it.
- Playlists, history, and the auto-mix queue: The songs you add to playlists, the songs you have loaded onto the decks, and the order of the auto mix.
- Recordings and sampler sounds: Stored in the app's own storage as described in Section 2. They never leave your device unless you share or save them elsewhere.
- App settings: Deck, mixer, sampler, and display settings, and whether you have purchased Premium.
- Android backup: If backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may include the app's settings in the backup it saves to your own Google account. Your recordings and sampler sounds are excluded from that backup; they may be copied to a new phone only when you transfer your data directly from your old phone. This is handled by Android; we have no access to it.
- When you uninstall: Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes everything stored in the app's own storage, including your recordings. To keep a recording, share it or save it to your device first. Your own music files are not affected.
3.3 Information We Explicitly Do Not Collect
- Your songs, your music library, or what you listen to or mix
- Your recordings, or any sound from the microphone (the app does not use the microphone)
- Your location
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts (the app has no account or sign-up)
- A history of the websites you visit or the contents of your communications
- The contents of your screen or of other apps
3.4 Permissions the App Requests and Their Purposes
- Music and audio (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO; READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on Android 12 and earlier) — Lists the songs on your device in the library so you can load them onto the decks. Without it, you can still choose songs with the system file picker in the "Files" tab.
- Foreground service (media playback) — Keeps your mix playing while the screen is off or you are using other apps, with a playback notification shown. Playback stops when your headphones are unplugged or a call comes in.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13+) — Shows the playback and recording status, with a button to stop everything.
- Internet (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — Used only for anonymous crash reports, Google Play purchase verification, in-app reviews and in-app updates, downloading the list of our other apps, and showing this privacy policy in the app. Playing, mixing, and recording do not require an internet connection.
4. How We Use Information
The limited information we collect is used only for the following purposes:
- Operating and maintaining the Service
- Verifying your Premium purchase
- Diagnosing and fixing crashes
- Responding to support inquiries
- Complying with applicable laws
5. Third-Party Services
DJ Mixer Pro uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — anonymous crash diagnostic data
- Google Play Billing (Google LLC) — the one-time Premium purchase; payment is completed on Google Play, and we receive only a purchase token
- Google Play In-App Review and In-App Updates (Google LLC) — let you rate the app and install updates without leaving it; handled by Google Play
- Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) — hosts the static list of our other apps
DJ Mixer Pro does not display ads within the app and does not share your data with advertising networks.
6. Data Retention
- Crash reports: retained for 90 days, then deleted.
- Support emails: retained for 12 months after the last reply, then deleted (except where legally required).
- Your recordings, playlists, song analysis, and settings on your device: kept until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear the app's data. The song cache is deleted automatically, oldest first, when it exceeds the size limit you set, and you can clear it at any time.
7. International Data Transfers
We are based in Japan. The infrastructure used for crash diagnostics and for hosting the list of our other apps may be located in various countries. When you use the Service, the minimal information described above may be processed outside your country of residence under standard contractual safeguards.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you reside (e.g., the EEA, UK, California, Japan), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited information we hold. You can:
- Delete recordings, playlists, and history in the app at any time, clear the song cache from the menu, or uninstall the app or clear its data to erase everything stored by the app on your device
- Withdraw the music and audio or notification permission in your device settings at any time
- Contact us at the address below to make a request regarding the information we hold
9. Children's Privacy
DJ Mixer Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your region). If we inadvertently collect information from such a child, we will delete it promptly upon being contacted.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version is always published at this URL together with its effective date. We will also notify you within the app of significant changes as appropriate.
